Here's a small dose of a new track we've been working on. I'm sorry, this is as much as we can share for the mean time... but I hope you like it none the less!

Cheers! - M.E

P.S. This was Juni's idea. So blame the lack of length on him.
"Come on, the night is ours for the taking! I know, you're thinking twice but let's not make the same mistakes again. There's so much more to life, you know, and your heart beat says you're wanting more." -- ALIVE

It's that time of the year again! Since 2008, July - August has been our "annual production season" for new material. The band and I even went out of town last week to really zero-in and finish up all the tracks. Immersing ourselves in a new environment enabled us to free our minds and gain a fresh perspective.

The songs are sounding great! Different and diverse from one another. I think this is the best batch of songs we've ever written and produced. I've on been a writing spree this past month. Taking a break from TV has really helped so much in terms of creative disposition and state of mind. It has helped me FOCUS on THE MUSIC. And at this point, nothing else is more important than that.

As usual, Juni has been on the helm for tracking and mixing. We're blessed to have an awesome sound engineer as a band mate :) Once everything is done it'll be sent out to a couple of our agents in Los Angeles. Hopefully it all works out.

Thank you, HONG KONG!

EYE VIEW via my Blackberry

I'm blessed to be doing it. So I should always be thankful.

Sometimes we get so caught up in what our heart yearns and burns for. And no matter how intense the flame is, getting impatient and discouraged will happen every so often. As a result we get angry, frustrated and even bitter. But what we dont understand is that at times our DRIVE can cause us to forget the many things we are already blessed with. And stepping back to breathe and be grateful for these blessings, I've learned, can actually be an abudant source of fuel and new resolve to keep going, keep fighting and keep believing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the perfect match for passion would be gratitude.

Keep the fire burning... and be grateful.

(Article c/o PhilStar Supreme and written by Jansen Musico)

Manila, Philippines - Miguel Escueta is the kind of guy you want to dirty up. He has this squeakyclean Sunday persona on Party Pilipinas that puts any boy-next-door to shame. He’s got the looks, the silent swagger, the talent, and as a bonus, he’s completely scandal-free. He’s rarely spotted in the party scene, is hardly ever out except for gigs, and seldom makes a blip on the local tabloids. Come to think of it, his personal life is much of a mystery. The guy is such a private person that even I was surprised he let me intrude into his media-free bubble.

He drove up to the studio in a white van and stepped out decked in a jacket and jean ensemble that made him look like a spiffy billboard model. He was tall, dark, and had his signature do hidden under a beanie. He made his way to the control room and found a spot on the couch to sink into. His band was playing their cover of the Cranberries’ Linger in the other room when he turned to me and said point-blank, “I’m not a very good singer."

Summer Tour Photos and Updates

All photos c/o Miko Cadiz Photography

So we're halfway done with the 'Now It Starts' Summer Tour -- the Press Launch, 3 Robinsons Malls (with the awesome and hillarious BNO of Magic89.9) and 3 Bars / Clubs :) Its been tiring coz of the schedule, but loads and loads of fun nonetheless! The band and I are taking a short break this Holy Week to reflect & re-energize and then we'll be back on April 27 (Wed) at ATTICA Bar and Lounge to finish up the rest of the tour!
