It's that time of the year again! Since 2008, July - August has been our "annual production season" for new material. The band and I even went out of town last week to really zero-in and finish up all the tracks. Immersing ourselves in a new environment enabled us to free our minds and gain a fresh perspective.
The songs are sounding great! Different and diverse from one another. I think this is the best batch of songs we've ever written and produced. I've on been a writing spree this past month. Taking a break from TV has really helped so much in terms of creative disposition and state of mind. It has helped me FOCUS on THE MUSIC. And at this point, nothing else is more important than that.
As usual, Juni has been on the helm for tracking and mixing. We're blessed to have an awesome sound engineer as a band mate :) Once everything is done it'll be sent out to a couple of our agents in Los Angeles. Hopefully it all works out.
